Think for a moment of your grandmother, or someone in your life who represents love and warmth and times gone by. In my mind’s eye, I see both my grandmothers sitting in their glider rocking chairs, in their respective kitchens. One kitchen had pink walls and smelled of brown bread, the other a basket of knitting and a collection of salt & pepper shakers along the cupboard tops.

At the time, I was on a long overdue soul searching journey, reflecting on the aspects of my life that were causing discontentment. Namely, both my career path and my lifestyle habits were contributing to an overall feeling of directionless dissatisfaction. Having come to grips with this discontent, I figured I should get on with it and make some changes. After all, if I didn’t, nobody else would for me.
